My husband & I were married by Maurice when he was a priest at our college. By the grace of God, we are a devout Catholic family and parents to 6 children. Through much prayer & reading, we embrace fully all the teachings of our beautiful Catholic Faith. Servant of God, Fulton Sheen put it best when he said – “There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church — which is, of course, quite a different thing.” Of course, I’m not inferring that “hate” is what Maurice felt towards the Church but perhaps “misunderstanding”.
